Description
This online CPR Awareness course provides learners with a clear understanding of how to recognise when cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is required and how to administer it safely. It is strongly recommended that individuals across all sectors have a basic awareness of CPR, as early intervention during cardiac arrest can significantly increase survival rates.
The course explains when CPR is required, how to perform it on adults, children, and infants, how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and how to place a casualty in the recovery position. It also addresses essential infection prevention measures to ensure personal safety while providing assistance.
Content is delivered through a combination of written guidance, illustrations, and video demonstrations, enabling learners to develop confidence and understanding.
Please note: this online course provides awareness-level training only. It does not qualify participants as first aiders. Formal qualification requires attendance at competency-based, practical training.
